Build Gives Back

Build Gives Back provides our employees with the opportunity to get out into the local community and do something meaningful! We participate in several programs so every Build.com employee can find something they’re passionate about. Volunteers can serve meals at a local food shelter, build a home through Habitat for Humanity, help out at the Humane Society, or donate life-saving blood at an onsite blood drive. Our programs also support military members and their families, local schools, and provide learning opportunities in the tech field. We also offer resources for our employees to volunteer on their own with other non-profits in the area. We’re committed to serving our community and helping where we can. Together we can do more!

Summer/Winter Camp

Build’s Summer and Winter Camps are innovative training opportunities designed around the concept of collaboration. We know that everyone has something they’re great at, and everyone wants to learn. During the four-week camps, staff become teachers as well as students, leading and attending enrichment and educational classes, sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices. From Skydiving to SQL, each activity is unique, and taught by people who are passionate about their topic.
 

Blueprint

The Build Blueprint training programs help leaders — and emerging leaders — understand the core concepts that help Build succeed. In the Emerging Leaders class, employees learn the fundamentals of leadership and management, self-awareness, and how to best lead teams. The Pro Blueprint program helps sales staff understand what it takes to be promoted to account management. Build offers a wide variety of ongoing training to help individuals grow as professionals.

On-going Development

Talent development is one of the core principles of Build.com, so we offer ongoing opportunities to support the personal and professional growth of all our employees.

Build.com training programs start with on-boarding each new hire into the Build.com culture, and preparing them for their job. But that’s just the beginning! Employees will have opportunities to learn and grow throughout their career with leadership programs, and training in team management, presentation skills, pitching proposals, account management, and other job-related subjects.

Feed your curiosity by participating in conferences, off-site training programs, and frequent leadership & business development discussion circles.

Share your knowledge and talents with others by becoming a teacher. Through Girls Who Code, we give girls in grades 6-12 the opportunity to learn tech in a real-world environment. During Summer and Winter Camps, Build employees lead classes for their coworkers on topics they are passionate about, from SQL to brewing your own beer.

Build Events

Build takes pride in making sure our employees are taken care of throughout the year! We’re known for our epic parties and team-building events. Don’t be surprised to see our break room full of catered food or a bounce house on the back lawn during our peak months, dubbed March Madness and Rocktober. These months are filled with free food, spirit days, and games to make the busy times of year unforgettable! Our fridges are stocked all year with fresh fruit to snack on, and we have coffee machines located around the building for those who need a little caffeine in their day.
