Job Description:

Summary:

  • This position is responsible for the Upkeep and Maintenance of the facility, along with its grounds, systems, and related events. 

  • The incumbent will be expected to respond to associates’ maintenance requests and communications in a timely and professional manner.

  • This position will be expected to participate in projects with members of other teams, working closely with IT, HR & Facilities.

  • Success will be measured through results and feedback from other associates

Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Operations (50%)

    • Conduct routine inspections of premises, grounds, building systems, equipment and furnishings.

    • Perform preventative maintenance on, and/or repair or arrange to have repaired, building systems including Plumbing, Electrical, Generator, HVAC, Appliances, etc.

    • Maintain and schedule regular testing and service for all Fire / Life Safety Systems, Including Fire Inspections, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Sprinklers, Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting and Smoke Detectors.

    • Maintain building appearance inside and out; Touch-up Painting, Window Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning, Maintaining lights, etc.

    • Detect and report the need for major maintenance or repairs.

    • Facilitate and support associate moves and the resulting furniture adjustments.

    • Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

    • Maintain and manage all hired facility vendors; landscaping, trash service, janitorial service etc. 

    • Support and assist associates with assembly and installation/mounting of equipment and furnishings

    • Organization and ongoing maintenance of storage areas, warehouse/loading areas & custodial/janitorial equipment areas.

    • Maintain records and documentation on all implemented equipment and building systems.

    • Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment

    • Serve on the local Safety Committee

    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, relevant codes and standards, and established procedures and best practices.

    • Remediate and/or report safety hazards to your supervisor and take appropriate action.

    • Perform other related duties and activities as required

  • Janitorial/Custodial (30%)

    • Insure overall cleanliness of the building, keeping it maintained and in good condition.

    • Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as grounds and parking lots.

    • Work with a contract cleaning service to direct their efforts and define their scope. 

    • Insure restrooms are kept stocked, and that cleaning supplies are kept in stock.

    • As needed, clean up spills and collect and dispose of trash.

  • Hospitality Support (20%)

    • Service & Maintain (Fill and Clean) coffee makers, tea, and other employee amenities.

    • Maintain equipment and appliances in the break rooms & reception area.

    • Set up and take down for any events, brand days, holidays etc.



 

Qualifications:

Experience & Education

  • HS Diploma minimum, preference for 2+ years of college or trade school.

  • Preference for 2+ years of experience in similar positions.

  • Proven experience utilizing common tools to solve repair and maintenance issues.

Operations 

  • Requires strong Problem Solving skills, Attention to Detail, and Self Motivation.

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results; disciplined self-starter

  • Ability to think on your feet and provide real-time analysis and realistic solutions.

  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information 

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Superior time management and organizational skills required

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Adaptable and able to move with changes while maintaining a positive attitude
